The containers are made by one piece rotomoulded food grade polyethylene. The result is a very sturdy construction, with rounded corners, that fully meets the highest hygienic requests and can be easily cleaned, in accordance with 93/43/EEC (HACCP).
Insulation is made by expanded polyurethane foam CFC free, with thickness from 65 up to 130 mm.
The largest models are tested according to the ATP international norm and show an overall coefficient of heat transfer “K” of less 0,40 Wm2K.
Cooling units are equipped with hermetic Danfoss compressors (12-24Vdc), specially developed for vehicle uses, with low current consumption, vibration resistance and able to work with angles up to 30° . The refrigerant gas is R134a, not inflammable and CFC free.
An integrated AC>DC rectifier with an AC automatic priority circuit allows an easy use from the mains (110-240Vac 50-60Hz).
The digital temperature controller allows an easy setting of the required inner temperature and the control of the true inner temperature. The temperature probe is not calibrated.

Note: the digital controller used in the Euroengel fridge/freezer is not designed for the recording of the internal temperatures. Euroengel suggest to use approved and certified portable data loggers.
On some of the models 12V heating resistances are available as option, to keep a stable internal temperature even with different climatic conditions.
